She told her fanbase everything she was doing and she asked for their help and they helped her. They are loyal to her art, to her brand, to her very being and she gives herself in return. From all the video game Kickstarters I backed, be it Good or Not So Good Developers, some gave GDDs, some gave updates but not one of them gave their investors, their fans, a budget to show good faith of where the money will go. At worst, they took the money and used it how they saw fit, not what their fans paid for.
